Hyperlipidaemia
Lipid is another word for fat. Lipids are easily stored in the body and serve as a source of energy. Cholesterol and triglycerides are lipids.

Hyperlipidaemia and Cholesterol
High blood cholesterol levels are known to contribute to heart disease; however they also increase the risk of stroke.

Hyperlipidaemia (Hyperlipoproteinaemia; Dyslipidaemia)
Hyperlipidaemia, otherwise known as hyperlipoproteinaemia or dyslipidaemia, is a condition characterised by elevated or abnormal levels of lipids or lipoproteins in the blood.

Hyperlipidaemia is the presence of raised lipids(fats) in the blood.

What's the treatment?

If both LDL cholesterol and triglycerides are raised, you may have familial combined hyperlipidaemia, which is another genetic condition. Triglyceride is another fat found in the blood.

Increased blood fats (hyperlipidaemia) - some people with chronic kidney disease have increased levels of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, which may be caused by disturbed hormone levels.
