Hypersomnolence is excessive sleepiness. People with hypersomnolence, as opposed to fatigue, often fall asleep unintentionally.

 


Hypersomnolence differs somewhat from other sleep disorders, such as insomnia or narcolepsy, yet people frequently confuse them.

These people may sleep too much (hypersomnolence) or have difficulty getting to sleep (insomnia).
