What is intoeing? Most people's feet point straight ahead or outward. In some people, however, the feet point inward. This is called intoeing (say "in-toe-ing"), also called "pigeon toes." Intoeing is very common in young children.
Also referred to as intoeing. Here the child's toes point inward when walking or, sometimes, even at rest.
When your child is first learning how to walk, tibial torsion can create an intoeing appearance. As the feet toe in, the legs look like they are bowed. The bowed leg stance actually helps children achieve greater balance as they stand.
Pigeon toe, also called metatarsus varus, metatarsus adductus, in-toe gait, intoeing or false clubfoot, is a condition which causes the toes to point inward when walking.
Turning in of the feet (intoeing) is also common in toddlers and frequently occurs in combination with bowed legs.
