Definition
Intraductal papilloma is a small, noncancerous (benign) tumor that grows in a milk duct of the breast.

Intraductal papillomatosis: growth usually only one to two cm in size that can cause discharge from the nipple (may be white or reddish in color).
Karyotype: organized picture of chromosomes.

Intraductal papilloma: Small, finger-like, polyp-like, noncancerous growths in the breast ducts that may cause a bloody nipple discharge. These are most often found in women 45 to 50 years of age.

intraductal papilloma (IN-truh-DUK-tul PA-pih-LOH-muh)
A benign (noncancerous), wart-like growth in a milk duct of the breast. It is usually found close to the nipple and may cause a clear, sticky, or bloody discharge from the nipple.

This is called intraductal papilloma and can be removed by surgery without changing the way your breast looks.

Intraductal papilloma -- a small growth inside a milk duct of the breast. This often occurs near the areola, the colored part of the breast surrounding the nipple, in women ages 35-55. It is harmless and often cannot be felt.
