Leonine facies

Disease Lentigo maligna melanomaLeopard syndrome

Leonine facies: a face that resembles that of a lion. It is seen in multiple conditions and has been classically described for Lepromatous leprosy as well as Paget's disease of bone.

Infiltrations of the skin are most commonly produced by monocytic or myelomonocytic leukemia, which can produce a diffuse infiltration of the face (leonine facies).
The infiltrated skin usually has a purple hue.
