Moniliasis, oral: Yeast infection of the mouth and throat caused by a fungus formerly called Monilia, now known as Candida albicans. This infection is also known as thrush.

Also called moniliasis, chronic mucocutaneous candidiasis affects males and females alike and usually develops in childhood. This form of candidiasis is characterized by repeated infection with Candida albicans.

Candidiasis (moniliasis) is skin infection with Candida sp, most commonly Candida albicans. Infections can occur anywhere and are most common in skinfolds and web spaces, on the genitals, cuticles, and oral mucosa. Symptoms and signs vary by site.
