What is Myocarditis?
Myocarditis is an inflammatory disorder of the myocardium (the heart muscle).

Myocarditis is an inflammatory disease of the myocardium with a wide range of clinical presentation, from subtle to devastating. It is diagnosed by established histologic, immunologic, and immunochemical criteria.

Myocarditis is an inflammation of the heart muscle (myocardium). Myocarditis may affect both the heart's muscle cells and the heart's electrical system, leading to reduction in the heart's pumping function and to irregular heart rhythms.

Myocarditis
An inflammation of muscle walls of the heart. Myocarditis comes from the Greek word "myo" meaning "muscle," the Greek word "kardia" meaning "heart," and the Greek word "itis" meaning "inflammation.

Myocarditis may develop as a complication of an infectious disease, usually caused by a virus. It can occur in people of all ages and is diagnosed more often in men than in women. Treatment depends on the underlying cause.

Inflammation of the heart muscle itself, called myocarditis, can also cause chest pain, and it may mimic ischemic pain. Myocarditis is often caused by a viral infection.

Some cases are caused by bacterial or viral infections that inflame the heart muscle (myocarditis).

If this product is abused or if too much of it is absorbed into the body, it can cause serious heart problems, such as cardiomyopathy, atrial fibrillation, or myocarditis, all of which can lead to death.
