Nasal discharge is any mucus-like material that comes out of the nose.
Considerations:
Nasal discharge is common, but rarely serious. Drainage from swollen or infected sinuses may be thick or discolored.

Nasal discharge can also signify one of the differences between allergies and a cold. Allergic nasal response tends to show discharge that is clear or white, and fairly thin.
