Oral leukoplakia is a condition in which white lesions form in your mouth or on your tongue. It is usually caused by chronic tobacco or alcohol use.

Oral leukoplakia: Oral leukoplakia is a condition in which thickened, white patches form on the gums, on the inside of the cheeks, and sometimes on the tongue.

Oral leukoplakia refers loosely to any white patch in the mouth.

Spirulina is also thought to be helpful in the treatment of oral leukoplakia, a precancerous condition that is manifested as white patches in the mouth.

Other effects include cracking and bleeding lips and gums, precancerous mouth sores called oral leukoplakia, tooth abrasion, gum recession, gum and tooth disease, loss of teeth and bone in the jaw, and chronic bad breath.
