Pemphigus foliaceus. Blisters and sores are not as painful as in pemphigus vulgaris (PV). They do not occur in the mouth, but usually appear on the face and scalp, and later on the chest and back.
Paraneoplastic pemphigus.

Pemphigus foliaceus is the most treatable and least severe type. In this variant, a protein at the top of the skin is attacked by the body's immune system.

In pemphigus foliaceus, the treatment is the same but usually is less aggressive. Individuals with paraneoplastic pemphigus are treated with combination therapy of steroids and an antibiotic (cyclosporine) to alleviate symptoms.

Pemphigus foliaceus. This type doesn't usually affect mucous membranes. The blisters, which usually begin on your face and scalp and later erupt on your chest and back, usually aren't painful. They tend to be crusty and itchy.

It must be differentiated from other chronic oral ulcers and from other bullous dermatoses (eg, pemphigus foliaceus, bullous pemphigoid, mucous membrane pemphigoid—see Conjunctival and Scleral Disorders: Cicatricial Pemphigoid, drug eruptions, ...

sun-exposed skin, especially the face; the lesions are scaling erythematous macules and blebs, combining the clinical features of both lupus erythematosus and pemphigus vulgaris; bullae are subcorneal; probably a variant of pemphigus foliaceus.
