Postconcussion syndrome - A child/adolescent who has a concussion may develop a group of symptoms called "postconcussion syndrome" in the first few days after the injury.

Some people who suffer a concussion may experience a condition known as postconcussion syndrome.

Postconcussion syndrome, which commonly follows a moderate or severe concussion, includes headache, dizziness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, variable amnesia, depression, apathy, and anxiety.

Dizziness, loss of balance, hearing complaints, tinnitus, and sensitivity to sound are among several potential symptoms of postconcussion syndrome, but they also are symptoms of peripheral, vestibular, and/or centrally mediated otologic pathology.
