Lumbar Radiculopathy:
Lumbar radiculopathy refers to nerve irritation which is caused by damage to the discs between the vertebrae.
'Radiculopathy' is a term used to describe conditions which have caused damage to the nerve roots which connect the spine to the rest of the nervous system. A well known form of radiculopathy is sciatica, also known as lumbar radiculopathy.
Cervical radiculopathy pain travels down the arm in the area of the involved nerve. Pain is usually described as sharp. There can also be a "pins and needles" sensation or even complete numbness.

Radiculopathy refers to any disease that affects the spinal nerve roots. A herniated disk is one cause of radiculopathy (sciatica).
