What is Romano-Ward syndrome?
Romano-Ward syndrome is a condition that causes a disruption of the heart's normal rhythm (arrhythmia).

 


Romano-Ward syndrome. This more common form occurs in children who inherit only a single genetic variant from one parent.
Jervell and Lange-Nielsen syndrome.

Romano-Ward syndrome is an inherited heart (cardiac) disorder characterized by abnormalities affecting the electrical system of the heart. The severity of Romano-Ward syndrome varies greatly from case to case.

Romano-Ward syndrome - associated with the ANK2 gene At least 10 mutations in the ANK2 gene have been associated with a variety of heart problems.

These forms are inherited as autosomal dominant disorders with incomplete penetrance and, in the past, were referred to as Romano-Ward syndrome.
