Sexual arousal disorder: the general arousal aspect of sexual response is inhibited.

Sexual arousal disorders were previously known as frigidity in women and impotence in men. These have now been replaced with less judgmental terms.

Sexual arousal disorder is the second most common sexual problem among women, affecting an estimated 20 percent of women.

Definition Female sexual arousal disorder (FSAD) refers to the persistent or recurrent inability of a woman to achieve or maintain an adequate lubrication-swelling response during sexual activity.
