Sezary syndrome. Sezary syndrome is a form of mycosis fungoides, a T-cell lymphoma that occurs in the skin. Sezary syndrome is usually slow-growing and takes years to develop from mycosis fungoides, which is limited to the skin.

 


Sezary syndrome A form of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, a cancerous disease that affects the skin.
SGN-00101 A substance that is being studied in the prevention of cancer. It belongs to the family of drugs called fusion proteins.

Mycosis fungoides/Sezary syndrome is the most common form of cutaneous T cell lymphoma. Cutaneous T cell lymphoma more common in males and in blacks. About half of the patients are in their mid-fifties when the cutaneous T cell lymphoma starts.

The areas may be very itchy. The two main types of T cell lymphoma of the skin are Mycosis Fungoides and Sezary Syndrome. CTCL is often treated with ultraviolet light and with chemotherapy and steroids.

In the later stages of this kind of t-cell lymphoma the internal organs can be affected. Sezary syndrome is an aggressive form of this lymphoma. It also involves the patient having malignant lymphocytes in the blood.
