Swine influenza or swine flu, more correctly named H1N1 influenza A, is an influenza virus first detected in the United States in April 2009.

Swine influenza (swine flu) is a respiratory disease of pigs caused by type A influenza viruses that regularly cause outbreaks of influenza in pigs.

Swine flu (swine influenza) is a respiratory disease caused by viruses (influenza viruses) that infect the respiratory tract of pigs and result in nasal secretions, a barking-like cough, decreased appetite, and listless behavior.

Swine influenza (Swine flu, H1N1 Flu, Influenza A H1N1) refers to influenza cases that are caused by Orthomyxoviruses endemic to populations of pigs. The viruses are referred to as Swine influenza virus (SIV).
