Tetraploidy

Disease TetraplegiaThalamic syndrome

Tetraploidy: cells containing 4 sets of chromosomes instead of the normal two. Therapeutic abortion: a termination (due to severe abnormalities or when the mother's health is at risk) of a pregnancy not intended to result in a live birth.

Tetraploidy ... stillbirth
Thakker-Donnai syndrome ... stillbirth
Thalassemia ... stillbirth
Thin ribs -- tubular bones -- dysmorphism ... stillbirth
Thomas-Jewett-Raines syndrome ... stillbirth
Thoraco abdominal enteric duplication ... stillbirth ...

Near triploidy (68 to 80 chromosomes) and near tetraploidy (>80 chromosomes) are much less common and appear to be biologically distinct from high hyperdiploidy.

Detection of certain chromosomal abnormalities (eg, tetraploidy) may not reflect true fetal status but rather mosaicism confined to the placenta. Confined placental mosaicism is detected in about 1% of CVS specimens.

Hypodiploidy-near haploidy; Near tetraploidy; del (17p); t (9;22); t (11q23)
Unclassified ALL is considered to have an intermediate prognosis.[17]
