What is typhoid fever?
Typhoid fever is a life-threatening bacterial infection caused by the bacterium Salmonella Typhi (S. Typhi).

TYPHOID
Typhoid, or enteric, fever is a serious systemic disease caused by a bacillus, Salmonella typhi. Paratyphoid fever is closely related, though generally less severe.

Typhoid is an infectious disease. There are two types of vaccination for typhoid. If you are having treatment that lowers your immnity, you should not have the oral vaccine as it is live.

What is typhoid fever?
It is an illness caused by a bacterium called Salmonella typhi and is contracted by drinking water or eating food contaminated by Salmonella. There are about 107 different strains of the bacteria.

What Is Typhoid?
Typhoid , or typhoid fever, is a very serious and potentially fatal illness caused by the bacterium Salmonella typhi , which is frequently found in sewage.

Typhoid fever and paratyphoid fever are serious illnesses caused by Salmonella bacteria. It may be Salmonella typhi or Salmonella paratyphi. It occurs most often in developing countries where sanitation is poor.

Typhoid fever is a strain of salmonella similar to that which causes food poisoning, but more severe. Unlike salmonella poisoning, typhoid fever does not resolve itself and must be treated with specific antibiotics.
