Varicocele
A varicocele is like varicose veins of the small veins next to one testis or both testes. It usually causes no symptoms. It may cause discomfort in a small number of cases.

 


Varicocele surgery
A swollen or dilated vein in the scrotum is called a varicocele. Most normal veins in the scrotum are constricted and not dilated. A large varicocele vein is more often found in the left scrotum rather than in the right side.

Varicoceles are enlarged varicose veins that occur in the scrotum. They are fairly common, affecting 15% of men overall and 40% of men with known infertility.1 Varicoceles occur most often in the left testicle.

Varicoceles usually develop slowly. They are more common in men ages 15 - 25 and are most often seen on the left side of the scrotum. Varicoceles are often the cause of infertility in men.

Varicoceles can be linked to male infertility. If abnormalities show up in a semen analysis, removing the varicocele may improve sperm quality.

Varicose Veins
Varicose Veins is a condition of permanently dilated veins. It occurs mainly in the lower limbs, the lowest part of the bowel (piles or haemorrhoids) or the spermatic cord (varicocele).

varicocele ­
An enlargement of one or more of the veins that carry blood away from the testis. It can reduce blood flow and increase the temperature of the testicle, thereby causing infertility. Similar to varicose veins that occur in the leg.

Varicoceles are often diagnosed during an infertility checkup or in adolescence. The condition can result in decreased function of the testicles by raising the temperature level in the scrotum leading to low sperm counts and sperm of low quality.
