Zollinger-Ellison syndrome is a rare disorder that arises from tumors and ulcers in the digestive system. One or more tumors form in the pancreas or duodenum (the upper part of the small intestine).

Zollinger-Ellison syndrome is a condition that occurs with abnormal production of the hormone gastrin. A small tumor (gastrinoma) in the pancreas or small intestine produces the high levels of gastrin in the blood.

Zollinger-Ellison syndrome - Group of symptoms that occur when a tumor called a gastrinoma forms in the pancreas.

Zollinger-Ellison syndrome (ZES) is characterized by the development of a tumor (gastrinoma) or tumors that secrete excessive levels of gastrin, a hormone that stimulates production of acid by the stomach.

Zollinger-Ellison syndrome is a disease process associated with the development of ulcers due to over secretion of Gastrin. Gastrin -- a hormone that elicits acid secretion -- leads to the formation of ulcers by causing an excess of stomach acid.
