The Dachshund, also known as the Teckel, is of German origin. The breed comes in six varieties differentiated by coat (Long-Haired, Smooth, Wire-Haired) and size (Standard or Miniature).

There are three types of Dachshund: the short-haired, the wired-hair, as well as the long-haired. With every single of these types are readily available in three sizes.
