The Dobermann or Doberman Pinscher (also, more colloquially, Dobie) is a breed of domestic dog.
About 30 different breeds are known to be affected but the Doberman Pinscher is the breed most commonly associated with this disease. Of 15,000 Dobermans screened, more than 70% were found to be carriers of the disease.
The Kanni looks similar to the Doberman pinscher, with natural ears and tail it is an elegant and graceful dog. The colour of the breed is usually black or tan. As with many of the popular Indian breeds this dog does not have a thick coat.
He is not a miniature Doberman Pinscher, instead being descended from a cross between a Dachshund and an Italian Greyhound. He was bred by farmers to keep rats out of their stables; "pinscher" means "biter" in German.
Their black and tan markings are similar to the Doberman Pinscher and the Rottweiler but have key distinguishing differences from these breeds. The most prominent are the long tails and ears, and their loud, baying bark.
