About The German Pinscher
The longhaired variety of the German Pointer I believed to have voved in the mid 19th centry, but did but have a breed standard until 1879.
These dogs probably resulted from crossing a small shorthaired terrier (German pinscher) with the dachshund and Italian greyhound.
Other breeds, which may have contributed to the Dobermann, include Schnauzers, German Pinschers, German Shepherds, German Shorthaired Pointers and Weimaraners.
Both may have descended from the German Pinscher, a medium-sized black and tan dog bred to control vermin in the barnyard, but there the relationship ends.
Its ancestor is the German Pinscher to which Italian Greyhound and, it is thought, Dachshund blood were added.
These dogs are the result of a cross between the Dachshund, the Italian Greyhound and also the short haired German Pinscher. These dogs look like miniature version of Doberman dogs.

The Miniature Pinscher is part of the larger German Pinscher family, which contained both large and small varieties of breeds, and it´s not, as it is commonly thought, a miniature version of the Doberman.
