Italian Hound
The Italian hound remains one of the oldest hounds in history. Its origin can be traced to Egyptian greyhounds.
Also known as the Italian Hound it is believed to have developed in Italy from Phoenician sight-hounds and the Celtic hounds of southern Gaul.
Hubert and the white & tan Italian hound. Also the "King's White" Grand Griffon which is a larger, heavier, and longer Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen.
Hubert and Italian hound. Until the last century, there was still interbreeding between the Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen and a larger version of the breed.
Hubert, White and Tan Italian Hound and the King's White Grand Griffon (that is a larger, heavier, and longer Grand Basset Griffon Vendéen). It has been a popular hunting dog in France for almost 100 years.
