Jindos need room to move. These dogs love to roam and investigate their territory (which to them, is fairly expansive). Unless well-trained on recall, it is highly recommended that Jindos be walked on lead at all times because of their prey drive.
Jindos are very strong willed and independent which make them unsuited for first time dog owners. They are excellent guard dogs and will not hesitate to attack or fight to the death if necessary to protect its family and property.
Jindos are usually healthy dogs, but cases of hyperthyroidism have been reported. With proper care, a Jindo can live up to 15 years.
