Coat: The Mastiff is a double coat breed. The outer coat is short, coarse, and straight. The under coat is dense and fits closely to the body. The color of the coat comes in apricot, fawn, or brindle. The nose, muzzle, and ears are black.

Temperament: Mastiffs are loyal and alert, caring and protective. They are surprisingly good natured and caring, naturally easygoing and calm. They are capable of guarding, however, and should be properly socialized when they are puppies.

Mastiffs are inclined to be lazy but they will keep fitter and happier if given regular exercise. Like all dogs, this Mastiff should be taken on daily regular walks to help release it's mental and physical energy. It's in a dogs nature to walk.
