The breed is thought to be of Asian descent but were brought to the United States in the 1980s where they became increasingly popular because of their cute and small appearance.

The Toy Mi-Ki stands about 10 inches at the withers.

Colors: The Mi-Ki can be any color.
Coat: Smooth or Long. Single coat that is flowing, with feathering on the legs, ears, and tail.

The Mi-Ki can live as long as 16 years with relatively few genetic health problems. Some may develop respiratory problems due to their short muzzles. The Mi-Ki should be brushed every week.

The Mi-Ki is a RARE breed dog (not a designer dog). They range between 4 & 8 pounds, but many are MUCH smaller than that. Can we get the Mi-Ki on the list???

The Mi-Ki's head is round, with large, round, widely spaced eyes. Dark colored eyes are favored, but the eye color is allowed to vary with the color of the coat. The ears are carried either erect or pendant.
