RAJAPALAYAM breed makes a breed of short dense hair. The hair for the breeds has a coarse feel. The breed is by classification a hound dog. Their first breeding took place in India. They are bright white making them unique from other dog breeds.
As a guard dog, the Combai is superior to the Rajapalayam. It has a savage temper; it is very much like the Bull terrier in its temperament. The Combai were used for hunting and keeping watch.
