Conduit

They are the conduits or vehicles of life (or being/becoming) and energy, and as such, demand of their users sometimes superhuman abstinence. We have to understand also that it's only one of the four magickal ikons (Wands, Cups, Coins, Swords).

The hand has long been thought as a conduit of power - transforming unseen energy into the world of form. Indeed, the Latin word for manifestation is formed around the world manus which is the Latin word for hand.

A want, need, or desire
A tube or conduit
The means by which something gets from one place to another
A situation relating to making decisions fairly or randomly (as in "drawing straws") ...

Aqueduct - Bridging the unconscious and conscious. The unconscious seeking conduit to the conscious mind.
Arcade - Losing oneself in the pleasures of life. Covering up those true aspects that provide growth and balance.
