All of Crowley's disciples struggled valiantly to "discover the identity of the hidden God" within them, their "True (Thelemic) Will" and to find a way to implement their knowledge. Their endings were mostly dismal.

There are 12 hours on the clock, 12 months in a year, 12 years of public school, 12 disciples, 12 eggs in a carton... you get the idea. I personally am drawn to the time numbers here, specifically the months, but I cannot tell you why.
