Amaretto is an almond flavoured italian liqueur made with apricot pits. Amaretto di Saronno is the original and probably the most renowned of these liqueurs.

Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Amaretto
3/4 oz White Creme de Menthe ...
Pour Amaretto and lime juice over ice in a collins glass. Fill with Club Soda.
Shake the Amaretto with the lemon juice and strain into sour glass and add ice. Garnish with a Marachino Cherry and/or orange slice.

Method :
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar and butter. Into an 8-inch spring-form pan, press crust mixture. In a blender, place cream cheese and blend. Add vanilla, eggs and sour cream and blend.

Very distinctly almond flavoured, this liqueur is a fine realisation of alcoholic liquid marzipan. Thick and sweet, it's strong, but not overpowering or cloying. Well balanced, as far as one-dimensional liqueurs go. 28% alcohol.

Pour the vodka and amaretto into the cup first.
