Apple cider
In the USA, Apple Cider falls into one of two categories, whereby it is made from either fermented apple juice, or untreated/unfermented apple juice.
Make sure ingreadients are well chilled. Cut unpeeled apples 1cm cubes. Combine fruit and mint with apple juice in large punch bowl. Mix well, cover and refrigerate until serving. Before serving add chilled apple cider and lemonade.

Leave out the sugar and instead of water use boiling hot apple cider! This is a great holiday tradition in our family. I prefer spiced rum (Captain Morgan's) but that is personal taste.

Method :
Wash and core apples and pears, peeling if desired. Cut into one inch chunks. Slice bananas 1/2" thick. Wash grapes and cut in half. Combine fruits and almonds in salad bowl. Mix yogurt with spices and cider.
Apple cider can be used in place of apple liqueur. According to the New York Times the Apple Martini is the drink that " chic New Yorkers" are now ordering.

Boil apple cider, cinnamon, and honey together until honey is dissolved. Strain to remove cinnamon and refrigerate. Add whiskey and enjoy. Very smooth while cold but will knock you on your ass if not careful.
