Instructions

Benedictine D.O.M.
Imported French liqueur originated around 1510 at the Fecamp Abbey to combat malaria. Honey/amber color. Herbal nose that is earthy and floral. Flavors of honey, citrus and herbs such as rosemary, basil, and sage.

Drink Recipe Instruction
In a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes, combine all of the ingredients. Stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass.

1/2 oz Brandy
Use cordial glass and carefully float the brandy on top of the Benedictine.

A Benedictine Monk called Dom Perignon (Real name: Pierre Perignon 1638 - 1718) is credited with having invented Champagne at the Abbey of Hautville near Riems in France.

1 1/2 oz Scotch, 1 oz Sweet Vermouth, 1/2 oz Benedictine, 1 lemon , twist
In a mixing glass half-filled with ice cubes, combine the Scotch, vermouth, and Benedictine.
Stir well. Strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with the lemon twist.

Mixing instructions:
Float brandy on top of Benedictine in a cordial glass without mixing and serve.

5 cl DOM Benedictine
1.0 cl Grenadine
8.0 cl Pineapple juice
3.0 cl Fresh lemon juice
1 dash Angostura Bitters
Pour all ingredients into cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake well. Strain into highball glass.

½ oz Benedictine

BOBBY BURNS
2 oz. Scotch
1 oz. Sweet Vermouth
1/4 oz. Of Benedictine.
Prepare as you would a Manhattan. Garnish with a short bread cookie on the side.note: Frank Meier version calls for half weet, halff dry vermouth.

Mule's Hind Leg Cocktail
1/2 oz. Burnett's Gin
1/2 oz. Benedictine brandy
1/2 oz. Applejack
2 oz. maple syrup
1/2 oz. apricot brandy
Shake well and strain into cocktail glass.

- 2 oz Blended Whiskey
- 1/2 oz oz Lemon Juice
- 1/2 oz Lime Juice

Imported liqueur from France. A combination of Benedictine and Brandy that started out as a popular mixed drink until the French decided to bottle the two together.

1 oz brandy
1/4 oz benedictine liqueur
1 oz orange juice
Shake over ice in a shaker. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass, and serve.

2 oz. Plymouth Gin, 1 oz. Dry Vermouth, 1 oz. Sweet Red Vermouth, 1 oz. Benedictine. Shake with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a cherry.

2 oz. Bushmills Irish Whiskey
2 dashes Noilly Prat Dry Vermouth
2 dashes Benedictine.
In an old-fashioned glass,
add twist of Orange peel.

Notes: Fratelli Averna dates back to 1868, but the recipe for Averna Amaro dates back centuries before that with the Benedictine Friars in the San Spirito Abbey in Caltanissetta Sicily as an herbal tonic.
