Calvados® brandy
Calvados is a well-known apple brandy. It is made in Normandy, a region in the northwest of France.
Calvados Cocktail 1 1/2 ounce calvados 1 1/2 ounce orange juice 3/4 ounce Cointreau 2 dash orange bitters Shake with ice. Strain into a cocktail glass.

Apple Brandy, Applejack, and Calvados are apple brandies distilled from apple cider. Calvados is produced only in Normandy, France.
Made very nice drinks with armagnac, cognac and calvados -if a bit difficult to mix. One of our more interesting experiments was with Kensington Gin (an aged-in-wood gin) which yielded a interesting savory type of cocktail.
APPLE JACK COCKTAIL
2 oz. Calvados or Apple Jack
3/4 oz. Orange Curacao
2 dashes Orange Bitters.
Shake ingredients with ice and strain into chilled martini glass. Garnish with thin slice of apple and orange peel.

2 ounces Cognac
1 ounce Calvados
1 ounce Sweet Vermouth
Shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass.
Lemon Juice
1 tsp. Orange Juice
Combine with ice. Shake well. Strain and add ice. Lillet can be used in place of the Cointreau, with 2 teaspoons each of Calvados and Apricot brandy instead of the juices.
