Combine cider, juice, sugar and cinnamon stick in a 4-quart saucepan. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture simmers. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Remove stick, and serve hot.

Leave out the sugar and instead of water use boiling hot apple cider! This is a great holiday tradition in our family. I prefer spiced rum (Captain Morgan's) but that is personal taste.

Pour Absolut Kurrant shot into a pint glass. Fill a little over half way with lager. Finish off with cider. By the end of the night try adding two shots of Absolut Kurrant and you will not notice any difference.

Apple Brandy, Applejack, and Calvados are apple brandies distilled from apple cider. Calvados is produced only in Normandy, France.
First take your cider (not scrumpy or still) and pour in about a third of a pint into your pint glass (exact measurements are not required).
6 oz apple cider
Pour the lemon juice, egg and sugar into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes, and shake well. Strain into a highball glass half-filled with ice cubes. Top with apple cider, stir well, and serve.
In a large saucepan, heat cider and cinnamon sticks. Prick hot oranges with a fork. Place in a punch bowl or chafing dish. Pour hot cider over oranges. Stir in rum. Serve warm. Makes about 12 servings; 6 ounces each.
Smells like very intense cider on steroids. The flavour is less intense, and this drink goes down smoothly and easily. Very easily, in fact. Drink it from a brandy balloon so you get the aroma too.
¾ oz whisky
¾ oz apple schnapps
3 oz warm apple cider

Warm the apple cider in a cup or glass mug.
Traditionally served with apple juice, we liked mulling cider with it. We tried making Lassi's with it - interesting. Our martini attempts were very nice -a more gin-like vodka than any we have come across (with no juniper, really).
1½ cups sugar
3 cups water
2 sticks cinnamon
1 teaspoon whole cloves
1 quart apple cider
6 cups tea, brewed
Boil sugar and water to a syrup. Put spices in cloth bag. Combine everything a let stand overnight. Serve hot or cold.
