French Vermouth - Vermouth produced in France (see Vermouth). It is usually drier than the Italian vermouth, and has a spicy aroma.

1 Dash of Dry French Vermouth
3 oz. Gin or Vodka
Stir ingredients with ice in a mixing glass. (50 times if using large ice cubes, 30 times if using small cubes.) Strain into a chilled martini glass.

Stir with cracked ice; strain into chilled cocktail glass. Variation: French Vermouth may be used instead of the kirschwasser, likewise apricot brandy may be used instead of the cherry brandy.

1 ounces French Vermouth
2 dashes Grenadine
Shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange twist.

The Napoleon
2 oz gin
1/2 tsp Curacao orange liqueur
1/2 tsp Dubonnet® French vermouth
Stir all ingredients with ice, strain into a cocktail glass, and serve.
Serve in a cocktail glass.Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir?

PSYCHEDELIC MARTINI
2 oz. Magellan Gin, 1/2 oz. French Vermouth, 1/2 oz. Italian Vermouth, 1/2 oz. orange juice, 1/2 oz. pineapple juice, dash Anisette.

It contains up to 19% alcohol. The sweeter, darker type of vermouth is sometimes called Italian vermouth, and the lighter, drier type, French vermouth. Vermouth is used as an appetizer and as a mixer in cocktails.

Martini 3 oz Beefeaters gin 1 oz dry French vermouth Lemon peel Put the gin in the freezer and the vermouth in the fridge overnight. Also chill the shaker and frost the glasses.
