To make along story short learned this from a 40 year plus bartender from long island and he said they just call it "Iced tea".

You want to use the cheapest vodka possible, I recommend Leeds since it is bottled in my area but use your own discretion. In a glass mix a few shots togother. Pour in your vodka, sprinkle in your Iced Tea Mix. Pour and shoot.

Shake the alcohol with ice and strain into a tall glass. Fill the glass up with Cola. Can also be served over ice.

Basically this drink is mixed just like a Long Island Iced Tea. Mix equal parts of the clear liquors, and add about 1 oz. of Midori. The drink should be slightly tart, but with a distinct taste of melon.
