Add lemon rind to butter; cream well Add part of the sugar gradually, blending after each addition. Add remaining sugar, alternately with lemon juice, until right consistency to spread. Beat thoroughly after each addition. Add salt.
Combine wine, lemon rind, and juice. Stir in 1 cup of the sugar and let stand until sugar dissolves. Combine milk and cream, add wine mixture, and beat with a rotary beater until frothy.
Keep the lemon rinds until later, and strain the lemon juice into a large pitcher. Add sugar and ice water. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Place lemon rinds in a seperate bowl and add one cup of boiling water. Let stand until water is cold.
Hey "Read..It helps.." the "twist" means to twist a piece of lemon rind over the drink, not a lime. Limes are squeezed, lemons are twisted. Next time you're going to call someone an ass, don't make an ass out of yourself...ass

Wet the edge of a cocktail glass with lemon and dip the rim into granulated sugar. Cut a lemon rind into a spiral and place it on the edge of the glass. Stir the ingredients and strain into the glass.
Boil the water, sugar and lemon rind for 5 minutes. Strain, and while the liquid is hot, add the cherries and cherry and pineapple juices.
1 crushed sugar cube, 1 tablespoon water, 1½ fld.oz. rye whisky, 1 teaspoon bitters, 1 small piece finely pared lemon rind, 1 large ice cube, 1 very small orange slice. 1 maraschino cherry.
