1/4 oz. Grenadine
Fill with water and then add ice.
Sounds awful but it is surprisingly popular in France and surprisingly drinkable.
Pour Ricard into an old-fashioned glass and swirl around to coat glass, discard any excess. Place the sugar, Peychaud Bitters, and water into the glass and muddle them with the back of a spoon. Almost fill the glass with ice cubes.

The Don Julio brand is produced by Pernod Ricard. Don Julio Reposado is made from 100% blue agave, double distilled and matured in small oak barrels. Don Julio is named after the founder, Don Julio Gonzalez Estrada.
This company is currently owned by Pernod Ricard which also owns numerous other whisky distilleries. This is not a single malt, but a blend of various single malt scotch whiskies all at least 18 years old or more.
