Riesling (Rees ling)
Where it is produced: Alsace, Germany, Austria, US, Australia and Canada.
Riesling - A dry white wine high in acid but low in alcohol. For a good Riesling try a bottle from Alsace or Germany.
Rock and Rye - Sweetened rye whiskey, sometimes bottled with rock candy syrup and fruit slices (lemons, oranges, cherries).
Fine German wines are generally light, dry, white wines made from the Riesling grape and characterized by a fresh, flowery bouquet. Hock, derived from the town of Hochheim, is an English term sometimes applied to all Rhine wines.
