Mixing instructions:
Mix all ingredients, except champagne or wine, with cracked ice in a shaker or blender and pour into a large wine goblet. Fill with cold champagne or wine and stir gently.

There is a sparkling wine for use in cocktails which is called "mixing Champagne." This lower quality of Champagne is rarely the right choice for a Champagne drink - it is called mixing Champagne because it is not fit to be served straight.

Pour the sparkling wine to fill the glass. Mix gently with a stirring implement.

Garnish with a cherry and orange slice. It is now ready to serve.

Shake first three ingredients together.
Strain into chilled white wine goblet.
Top with Champagne.

Excerpt: Put pineapple pieces in a water glass (250ml) and pour blue curacao and grenadine over them. Fill with pineapple flavored sparkling wine.

1 1/2 oz Bacardi light rum
1 tbsp lime juice
1/2 tsp sugar syrup
fill with Champagne
Shake the rum, the juice and the syrup with cracked ice.
Strain into a chilled white wine glass and fill with sparkling wine.
