Sweet and sour mix
Sweet and sour mix is a blend of lemon juice and syrup. It is often just refered to as sour mix, and is available at most liquor stores. To make your own, mix approx. eight ounces of lemon juice with two tablespoons of sugar.

Some people layer this drink instead of shaking it. It's all a matter of preference.
Garnishes may included sliced lemons and maraschino cherries, if desired.

Pour vodka, gin, triple sec, and sweet and sour into a collins glass over ice cubes and stir well. Add the splash of cola and stir again. Garnish with the lemon wedge and serve.
