Make sure the dogs and their space is clean and free of feces and urine. Notice if adequate water and bedding is available.
Sometimes I'll mix it with a wee bit o' pineapple juice. Other times, with a spot of lemon zest. Occasionally, I'll drink it with me own urine, for i rather like the taste, and sometimes it smells slightly of coffee or macdonalds.
