Dissolved Solids
Disintegrated organic and inorganic material in water. Excessive amounts make water unfit to drink or use in industrial processes.

Total Dissolved Solids: All material that passes the standard glass river filter; now called total filterable residue. Term is used to reflect salinity.

Dissolved solids: Inorganic material contained in water or wastes. Excessive dissolved solids make water unsuitable for drinking or industrial uses. See TDS.

Dissolved Solids: Disintegrated organic or inorganic material contained in water.
Dose: The amount of exposure undergone at one time.

dissolved solids
the total amount of dissolved material, organic and inorganic, contained in water or wastewater. Excessive dissolved solids make water unpalatable for drinking and unsuitable for industrial use.

Dissolved solids
Solids material that totally dissolves in water and can be removed by means of filtration.
Distillation ...

dissolved solids A dispersion by very small, nonsettling molecules not removed by filtration practices as defined by the method of measurement.

D dissolved solids
Definition (english only)
Disintegrated organic and inorganic material contained in water. Excessive amounts make water unsuitable for drinking or for use in industrial processes.

Total Dissolved Solids (TDS): concentration of all substances dissolved in water (solids remaining after evaporation of a water sample).

total dissolved solids (TDS). All of the dissolved solids in a water. TDS is measured on a sample of water that has passed through a very fine mesh filter to remove suspended solids.

Total Dissolved Solids (TDS): Concentration of total dissolved solids (TDS) in groundwater expressed in milligrams per litre (mg/L), is found by evaporating a measured volume of filtered sample to dryness and weighing this dry solid residue.

Total dissolved solids (TDS) is the amount of dissolved matter in the water.

Total solids (TS) is the amount of organic and inorganic matter which is contained in a water.

TDS: Total dissolved solids. A quantitative measure of the residual minerals dissolved in water that remain after evaporation of a solution. Usually expressed in milligrams per liter.

TDS total dissolved solids; filterable residue; usually expressed as g/liter or mg/liter following evaporation of a measured sample of filtered water
tectonic referring to all types of activities in the earth's crust ...

Deep groundwater is generally of very high bacteriological quality (i.e., a low concentration of pathogenic bacteria) but may be rich in dissolved solids, especially carbonates and sulphates of calcium and magnesium.

TDS See total dissolved solids. tertiary treatment An advanced stage of wastewater treatment designed to remove nutrients or other constituents remaining after secondary treatment.

Fresh Water- Water that generally contains less than 1,000 milligrams-per-liter of dissolved solids.
Friable- Capable of being crumbled, pulverized, or reduced to powder by hand pressure.

Perspiration is the production of a fluid, consisting primarily of water as well as various dissolved solids , that is excreted by the sweat glands in the skin of mammals...
