FINISHED WATER: Treated drinking water that is considered safe and suitable for delivery to consumers.
GRAYWATER: Water that has been used for showering, clothes washing, and faucet uses. Kitchen sink and toilet water are excluded.

finished water Water that has passed through a water treatment plant; all the treatment processes are completed or "finished." This water is ready to be delivered to consumers. Also called product water.

filtration The process of removing particulate matter from water by passing it through a porous medium. finished water Water that has been processed in a water treatment plant and is ready for delivery to consumers.
