Recycled water: Water that is used more than one time before it passes back into the natural hydrological system or is discharged into a wastewater system. Also referred to as recirculated water.
The CIR is used consumptively and does not return to the hydrological system for further use. The difference between the duty and the consumptive irrigation requirement is generally called "return flow."
