landings - the amount of fish brought back to the docks and marketed. Landings can describe the kept catch of one vessel, of an entire fishery, or of several fisheries combined.

 


Landings
The number or poundage of fish unloaded by commercial fishermen or brought to shore by recreational fishermen for personal use. Landings are reported at the locations at which fish are brought to shore.

The part of the fish catch that is put ashore. Frequently, landings provide the only record of total catch; i.e. the landings plus discards.
