Environment NitrogenNitrogen dioxide

nitrogen cycle
The sequence of biochemical changes by which nitrogen is used by a living organism, liberated upon the death and decomposition of the organism, and converted to its original state of oxidation.
nitrogen fixation ...

Nitrogen Cycle is the process whereby nitrogen, which is vital to all plant life, is circulated through food chains.

Nitrogen Cycle
Cyclic movement of nitrogen in different chemical forms from the environment, to organisms, and then back to the environment.
Nitrogen dioxide ...

Denitrification- Step in the nitrogen cycle which involves the reduction of nitrates into nitrite, nitrous oxide, ammonia or elemental nitrogen.

It is cycled between air and soil by means of the nitrogen cycle which includes a process known as nitrogen fixation. Nitrogen fixation may take place through either industrial (fertilisers) or natural processes.

Inorganic form of nitrogen. An important plant nutrient and type of inorganic fertilizer (most highly oxidized phase in the nitrogen cycle). In water, the major sources of nitrates are septic tanks, feed lots and fertilizers.
