Environment ReactivityReagent

Reaeration: Renewing air supplies in the lower layers of a reservoir in order to raise oxygen levels.
Recarbonization: Process in which carbon dioxide is bubbled into treatment water in order to lower the pH.

Reaeration: Introduction of air into the lower layers of a reservoir. As the air bubbles form and rise through the water, the oxygen dissolves into the water and replenishes the dissolved oxygen.

reaeration The introduction of air into a vessel or channel containing water or wastewater to increase the dissolved oxygen level. Compressed air may be transmitted by air diffusers into the lower layers of a body of water such as a reservoir.

reaeration (RE-air-A-shun). The introduction of air through forced air diffusers into the lower layers of the reservoir.

Reaeration The dissolving of molecular oxygen from the atmosphere into the water.
Receiving water A water which receives wastewater (treated or otherwise) discharges.
