Renewable Energy in Business
Martinot, who is a senior fellow at the Worldwatch Institute and a lecturer at Tsinghua University in Beijing, notes that renewable energy is attracting some of the world's largest companies, ...

Renewable Energy
Energy resources that are sustainable and which can be used without the danger of exhaustion. Solar power, wind energy and hydroelectric or water power are examples of renewable energy sources.

Renewable Energy Sources - Energy sources that replenish themselves naturally within a short period of time.

renewable energy - energy resources such as windpower or solar energy that can keep producing indefinitely without being depleted.
reservoir - an artificial lake created and used for the storage of water.

Renewable Energy - There are many forms of renewable energy from geothermal to biomass to wind and of course solar power.

Renewable Energy: see alternative energy
S
Short Ton: Common measurement for a ton in the United States. A short ton is equal to 2,000 lbs or 0.907 metric tons.

Renewable energy - alternative energy sources such as wind power or solar energy that can keep producing energy indefinitely without being used up.

Renewable Energy - Energy harvested from sources - like wind or the sun - that cannot be depleted, minimizing environmental impact.

Renewable Energy Production Incentive (REPI)
Incentive established by the Energy Policy Act available to renewable energy power projects owned by a state or local government or non-profit electric cooperative.

Renewable Energy: Energy supplied from natural, relatively inexhaustible sources including the wind, sunlight, geothermal heat, the tide, plant products or biomass.

Renewable Energy: Energy harvested from sources that are not depleted when used, typically causing very low environmental impact. Examples include solar energy, hydroelectric power, and wind power.

Renewable Energy Credit - Commonly referred to as a green tag and similar to carbon offsets, this is the purchase of a 1 megawatt-hour (MWh) unit renewable energy. You can purchase these units to compensate for the use of non-renewable energy.

Renewable Energy (C):
The term renewable energy generally refers to electricity supplied from renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar power, geothermal, hydropower, and various forms of biomass.

Renewable energy
Energy from renewable resources such as wind power, solar energy or biomass.

renewable energy: energy from sources that will never run out, such as solar, wind, geothermal, wave, tidal, ground source and biofuels.
S
seachange: moving from a city to a smaller coastal community.

renewable energy production = products derived from a process that uses renewable energy as a major resource
renewables = a source that cannot be exhausted - wind, wave, solar, geothermal, biomass, etc.

R renewable energy source
Definition (english only)
Energy sources that do not rely on fuels of which there are only finite stocks.

Non-renewable Energy: energy obtained from exhaustible sources, such as fossil fuels ...

Renewable energy resources include sunshine, wind, and flowing water. These resources are renewable because they won't run out or they can be replaced within a few years or decades.

Biomass - A renewable energy source to include plant materials and animal waste used as a source of fuel. Biosphere The ecosystem in which living organisms exist or that is capable of supporting life.

Thought of as an alternative fuel and clean fuel, ethanol is a renewable energy source that is made from corn or other grains, for instance in Brazil from sugar cane.

Renewable energy sources include the sun (solar power), wind, flowing water and geothermal heat. Renewable material resources include algae, grasses and some fast-growing trees. Substituting renewable resources for nonrenewable resources (e.g.

Various other strategies include development of new technologies, wind power, nuclear power, renewable energy, biodiesel, electric cars (and hybrids), and fuel cells, Energy conservation, carbon taxes and carbon sequestration schemes.

A mix of new and existing energy technologies will be needed to achieve this, including large increases in energy efficiency and renewable energy.

APP rejected Kyoto-style emission reduction targets in favour of encouraging business to invest in cleaner fossil-fuel technology and renewable energy. The pact now has little relevance after political backing faded in the late 2000s.
